With 7Digital already offering every track under–the sun without DRM, it’s still pretty galling to think iTunes, the world’s biggest download store is still caked in the stuff, EMI tracks excluded.Well now, according to 9to5mac.com, Sony BMG is set to offer their tracks on iTunes without copy protection. It makes sense, seeing as they were quick to get involved with 7Digital and Nokia Music Store. The reason for the delay is said to be down to the major labels plans to keep iTunes and Apple at bay. But let’s face it, we want DRM–free tracks wherever we buy ’em from, so Sony, we applaud you.
