Apple Tablet – more to offer than 10-inches?

So the Apple Mac tablet has more or less been confirmed by Jobs, and the rumours are still coming thick and fast – the latest that we can expect 13- and 15-inch models alongside the 10-inch tablet we've heard so much about.

Gizmodo got the news from a source, who it says has always been "100% reliable", that the two other sized touchscreen prototypes had been spotted in a factory in China.

The source did admit they weren't sure if the models had been built for demonstration purposes, or were actually preproduction units, but they did mention one of them was running Mac OS X 10.5.

As with all the rumours, it remains to be seen if any of this actually comes through, but with all the whispers mainly surrounding the 10-inch model this is interesting to say the least.

What do you think to bigger versions of the tablet - is it necessary? Which would you go for? Let us know below.

Just three words for y'all. NOT GONNA HAPPEN ! Apple doesn't need to be in the tablet market and these rumours are just a bunch of hooey.

@roimaaaf I think you're wrong. One vendor has bought up thousands of 10in touchscreens in the Far East. Eggs is eggs that's Apple.

Hmmmm.... This could be the one I will need to save up for - a bit like a giant iPhone. I wonder what pricing will be like??

Lots of 10" touch screens? Is that not very similar to what the new Arhos line up plans to use? Or was it 9".. can't quite remember. If it does appear it will undoubtedly be a very cool product, hampered by massive cost and hopefully the ASUS Eee tablet!

Apple Inc. With as much money and resources they have question is do they need to, then again you could argue what does anyone or anything with power want? The answere more power, with the billions this company makes why wouldent they try to overtake the the current competition, after all which company do you see in all the films and ad's these days, Apple!

i think they should stick to a 10 inch.... otherwise it will chip away at their macbook and macbook pro market. I also hope that all models they produce would come with mac os x.... I have an iphone I don't want a bigger version but i do want a more portable laptop.

The 10" tablet based around the iphone/ipod OS makes loads of sense - its easy to create as its basically just a big ipod touch and it has a market (ebook reader, netbook alternative, internet tablet, portable video player etc..)

A 13" and 15" product makes no sense at the moment! (except perhaps as a protype)
