The long-awaited-but-yet-to-be-confirmed Apple Tablet has been delayed owing to a design change that will see OLED screens on some devices, it's been reported. If DigiTimes is right, there will be two versions of the Tablet, a 10.6-inch model and a 9.7-inch model with an OLED screen. The additional model has incurred delays from LG, which is apparently supplying the displays. That means we’re unlikely to see the Apple Tablet until the second half of 2010, but that we’d also get an OLED model with great contrast, a wide viewing angle and amazing battery life.
Of course at this stage, the Apple Tablet remains a speculative entity (that’s fancy talk for make-believe), so for now this is just rumours on top of rumours. Still, all this rumour-mongering reminds us of the chatter that led up to the very real announcement of the iPhone, so let’s not be done with it quite so easily
What do you think? Will it be worth the wait? Would you rather have a LCD Apple Tablet sooner? Or do you think this rumour is yet another false dawn for a product that may never see the light of day? Drop us a line in the comments below.

I can't wait. Wouldn't Apple focus on putting an OLED screen on the iPhone / iPod touch first though.

I think Apple has lost its mojo!
Apple brass is too busy counting their money, Steve Jobs has been worried about personal matters, and everyone is afraid that they could make a bad decision without him. So... status quo. Is it the return of the 90's?
Not much has been innovative in the past year and a half. Sony and HP have beat Apple to the all-in-one Touch PC; Adobe CS4 beat Final Cut Pro with audio transcription to text and omni video-input formats; Microsoft has Project Natal video body controllers; Acer has a two screen e-book reader; Google Droid navigator and multi-tasking out-features the iPhone; and no camera in the iPod Touch because of tech issues. Apple tech luster seems to be fading and the 1984 ad is losing its symbolism. Will Apple awaken before its too late?
