LG's new LED TV – super slim and massive. We want
LG has come out of the CES starting blocks early, slipping us word of their superslim and sexy LH9500 LED TV. Eschewing the delights of LCD or Plasma for something altogether cooler, LG is clearly trying to steal the thunder from the likes of Philips killer Lux TV.

At a mere 24.8mm, but measuring a massive 55in across, it's certainly a statement of intent and we can report it looks amazing in the flesh, having caught a glimpse at a special preview event in Korea last November.

On top of that, it packs in HD DivX, letting you hook up HD movies via USB, Bluetooth for checking out snaps and an amazing 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio. The speakers are invisble, but still supply a beefy sound and you also get LG's own intelligent sensor tech as standard.

It's full HD, natch and while you can hook everything up via HDMI, LG's new AV media box will let you stream HD wirelessly, meaning no unsightly cable cloggage. Sadly there's no price yet, but don't expect it to come cheap. We'll be at the LG stand as soon as we land in Vegas, so make sure you keep your eyes locked on our CES blog for video and first impressions. Head there now for all the official snaps of the LH9500!
