You'd have thought Toshiba had had enough of HD battles but no, it's getting right back on that horse with the announcement of its first SD-card based hi-def camcorder.Pointing its pistol-style grip straight at Sanyo's Xacti range, it'll shoot HD from a tiny pocket-sized package.Like the Xactis, it records to SD cards and can capture stills – although it won't do 'Full HD' 1080i video as per the new HD1000; only 720p like Sanyo's older models. It loses out in the zoom department too, with a mere 3x optical on board and a smaller 2.5-inch screen. Not a chance against the new Xacti, you might think. But what if we mention that the Camileo Pro HD costs less than a third the price of Sanyo's competitor? Thought that might get your attention...
