It’s not due to gets its official unveiling until tomorrow, but Asus just couldn’t keep its mouth shut and has dropped word on the all–new Eee PC 901 a day early.
Packing Intel’s Atom, as expected, you’ll also find Bluetooth and Wi–Fi. So far, so vanilla. Except it also appears we’ll be getting a dab of
WiMAX in the mix too.
It seems everyone is finally gearing up to the idea of WiMAX becoming a reality. Intel reckons it’ll be serving upwards of ten million people with the next–gen wireless come 2010. There’s even talk Apple could shove it in the
3G iPhone.
Like it’s 900 predecessor, there’ll be a 12
GB XP edition, with the Linux–based lappie getting a heftier 20GB.
The 10in 1001 series is also getting its official release tomorrow. And just to top it off Asus has said it’s going to slash the price of the 701 and 900 models too. Now that’s the kind of talk we like.
