HTC Touch Cruises into view

HTC Touch Cruise – now with GPS

With the whole world and his badger talking about something called the Apple iPhone, we’ve taken a little time off from the multi-touch madness to have a butcher’s at something different – HTC’s new Touch Cruise.

Sliding in nicely alongside its brothers, the Touch and Touch DUAL, this newest addition to the pokeable line-up adds the must-have feature of the year, GPS. And it’s no half-baked attempt either; appropriately enough, it gets TomTom’s navigation software to get you from A to B – or any other letter of the alphabet for that matter.

There’s no slide-out keyboard like on the DUAL so you’ll have to contend with an on-screen one but that, er, innovative TouchFLO interface remains.

To keep the Stereo MCs happy you’ll be well and truly connected with Wi-Fi, HSDPA mobile broadband and Bluetooth, all powered by Windows Mobile 6 Professional.

An FM radio and 3MP autofocus camera prevent the Cruise from becoming a dull boy but much like its namesake’s famous films, stealing any limelight from the iPhone could just be mission: impossible.
