Marantz shows off CR502 all–in–one hi–fi

Fronting up for loads of separates is hardly wise in these financially frisky times. So instead, bagging yourself an all–in–one system is definitely the smart way forward. And this new Marantz CR502 is our pick of all the latest goodies to cross our desks.

Packing two stereo amplifiers with 2 x25WW, you'll be able to blast out your hair metal collection just as it's supposed to be heard. The CD player will take care of regular discs, as well as super audio versions and ones crammed to within an inch of their digital lives with MP3 files.

Round the back you'll find a USB port for sticking your iPod or a stick full of tunes, meaning you're not shackled to your massive but hardly touched CD collection.

And if all that doesn't tickle you, perhaps the DSB and FM tuners will. At least then you can tune into something a little different once you've exhausted your Heart records.
