We’d heard whispers about it before but the Nokia Booklet 3G, Nokia’s first netbook has just been unwrapped.

The 10-in Nokia Booklet 3G will feature 3G (as the name suggests) as well as HSDPA and WiFi. It’s powered by an Intel Atom processor and weighs in at 1.25kg.

The smooth aluminium shell of the Nokia Booklet 3G also hides a few more tricks with HDMI for HD video out, a front facing camera so you can gawp at your friend during video calls, Bluetooth and an SD card reader.

The Nokia Booklet 3G also has A-GPS which’ll hook up with Nokia’s Ovi maps service and the 10in glass screen is GD ready for some glorious visuals.

Pricing and full specs for Nokia’s netbook are set to be revealed on September 2 but with HD smarts and an Asus EeePC baiting 12 hour batter life, this definitely looks like a contender for king of the netbooks.

We’ll be at Nokia World, so expect hands-on time with the new netbook and the skinny on all of Nokia’s new mobiles and future plans.

Tell us: what do you think of Nokia’s nifty new netbook?
