UPDATE: O2 has now announced its upgrade plan, but it’s not for the squeamish. Existing iPhone customers can upgrade early by paying £20 per month left on their contracts. Want to find out how long is left on your O2 contract? Text ‘DATE’ TO 21302. Deep breaths…

Orange, O2, 3, T-Mobile and Vodafone wasted no time in letting us know they’d be selling the iPhone when it comes out, but we’ve just seen the first peep of tariffs for Apple’s new handset from O2.

The good news is that the prices are pretty much identical to those on the 3GS, so there won’t be any griping about that. Well, no more than there is now.

The bad news is that O2’s promised news about upgrade deals for current iPhone customers is still nowhere to be seen. And that we still haven’t got a UK handset price.

All in good time, and you know where to find the news when it comes in.
