PSP gets set for Go!Cam

PSP Go!Cam – anything Eye can do...

It's been out since the beginning of time in Japan but following hot on the heels of the PS3 Eye, Sony's finally seen fit to launch an English version of the PSP's camera add-on.

Now christened Go!Cam, it's the same 'PSP-300' model as found in the Far East, which means 1.3MP shots and tiny 320x240 QVGA or PSP-friendly 480x272 videos. No match for most camera phones.

It does, at least, have a 180-degree rotating lens and some nifty on-board editing software with pretty good pre-loaded video effects to play around with – try 'Mambo' or 'Battlefield' for size.

But the real reason to pop the chrome-clad lump atop your PSP? It can post video straight to YouTube – take that lousy mobile phone.
