Samsung HT-TXQ120 – standing tall

These pillars of Samsung’s new home cinema line-up could soon be settling in to your living room entertainment community.

Leading the pack is the HT-TXQ120 (pictured) – the world’s first full 1080p upscaling DVD entertainment system. A hefty 900 smackers will land you full 5.1 surround, a colossal 1000W of sound strength through tall boy speakers, HDMI in and out, and USB hosting.

Compromising on specs but sprucing up nicely in the design department – and importantly in price, too – is the HT-X250R, which keeps the tall boy speakers but drops the power down to a still respectable 600W.

Meanwhile, bringing up the rear and squaring its sights on the budget-minded among you is the HT-X200R, which loses three speakers to become a 2.1 set and shrinks the tall boys down to standard satellites.

All three are available now and, if you ask us, would look perfect snuggled up with your new PS3 bundle.
