Sony DR-BT160ASs – aural pleasure

While we’re still waiting for Sennheiser’s Nathan Barley-inspired but very promising MX1s, Sony has reminded us that Bluetooth headphones are still very much alive with its sporty new wireless cans.

The beautifully named DR-BT160ASs (pictured) eschew the luminous paintjobs favoured by Sennheiser’s running headphones in favour of a smart black finish and are splashproof to help them survive being doused with litres of sweat.

They’ll obviously connect with any MP3 player or phone that supports A2DP Bluetooth, but will also be available in a kit with a Bluetooth dongle should you wish to taunt Sony by using them with an iPod.

A built-in microphone lets you take handsfree calls and there are also controls on the headset for skipping tracks and adjusting volume, should you wish to convince neighbours you really are a nutter by running around your cul-de-sac tapping the side of your head.
