The Xbox 360 shake up that we heard of earlier this week is set to be announced tomorrow, it's been reported.MCV has received word that Microsoft is preparing to out details of a price drop and changes to its range ahead of the official Sony PS3 Slim launch next week. It's thought the announcement will include a price drop on the top-end Elite model, the cutting of the 60GB mid-range Pro model, as well as some changes for the cheapest SKU, the Arcade. It isn't, however, expected to make any announcement about the slimmed down SKU we've heard whispers of. Not just yet at least. As we've mentioned before, it'll be interesting to see if the UK will get a price drop as the Elite SKU is already cheaper than the PS3 Slim's RRP by around £20 – any further price drop would certainly give it an edge over the new Sony console. We'll be ready to bring you all the details from any announcement as we get it so be sure to check back for full details tomorrow. In the meantime, let us know which you'd buy below – a PS3 Slim or Xbox 360 Elite?

You say the xbox elite is cheaper, but by the time you have brought the wifi dongle(£60) and paid £40 a year to play online. It's works out to be alot more and still no blu-ray.

True gamers are happy to pay a premium for a good service than put up with a shonky free one.
Wifi is the scourge of the gaming world, it causes lag plain and simple, and in my view is completely uneccessary, my PS3 is connected through ethernet.
