My first blackberry or smart pda phone. I was hestitant to getting this phones becoz of the battery life is very bad and it was big and heavy or chunky.
But after a couple of days using it definetely deserves to be up there with the best. It looks cool as well, the design is luxurious you really look the business. It is very easy to use. Getting feedback from typing on the touch is the best. The Suretype is most brillant feature you type a begining of a word and it gives you word suggestions list. I am still getting the hang of copy and paste. Receiving emails is wonderful on this phone. The screen is beatiful to watch movies and touch. Going on the internet is great it plays flash video. I love my salsa vids on youtube.
I had a N95 took me a bit of time to type sms, on the storm its dead easy. I love my N95 but the storm has better technology except the camera, which i do not care about.
I have an iphone but for me i think the storm beats it because it is more practical for me - work and personal life. The iphone i love as a multimedia device.
For me I like a phone to be simple for calls and email/sms/mms and internet. I don't really use this phone movies, camera and music.
I am glad i waited, Well done Blackberry.

I'm sorry to say that the Storm is back in its box and heading back to Vodafone.... I had a Blackberry Bold prior to the storm and have gone back to it.
The main reasons are poor battery life, poor response to key presses, not being able to answer the phone if its in landscape attitude, delays in loading photos and the list goes on. This is disappointing as I’ve been waiting for a touch screen on the Vodafone network and to combine this with the RIM format was a masterstroke, there are a lot of glitches in the firmware that support claim is being worked on at a pace but these should have been sorted out before launch.
If you want all that the Storm does but without the touch but including Wifi the Bold should be your choice and probably more robust in the long term
