Nokia's XpressMusic clan just got smarter. The Walkman phones should be worried
  • Pros Support for 8GB SD cards. Lengthy battery life. HSDPA web speeds
  • Cons ‘Say and Play’ feature a bit temperamental

These days, Nokia’s all about trumpeting its love of music, whether it’s the shaky proposition of Comes With Music, the Nokia Music Store or hangover favourite, The Green Room.

But for all these download and multimedia offerings, you need a phone to match. Step forward the 5320 XpressMusic. It’s designed especially with tunage in mind, but manages to cram in some pretty neat features you’d normally expect from an N series cell.

You say, it plays
But, as the famous Finn is keen to stress, music comes first. And the real killer here is ‘Say and Play’. Press that button on the top right hand corner, say the name of the artist you want and the tune automatically starts playing. Well, in theory – when we gave it a quick go it took three tries before it actually worked.

Elsewhere, there’s support for an 8GB card, taking it up to Nano–esque levels of storage, a now–standard 3.5mm headphone jack and 24 hours of playback.

N-Gage support…soon

Away from your tunes, there’s HSDPA, so you can snag tracks on the go via the (somewhat limited) Nokia Music Store, as well as download games for N Gage, which we’re told will come with the phone eventually. Good job seeing as it has dedicated gaming keys.

It even comes with Symbian S60, meaning it’ll be one of the cheapest cells to tout the OS when it comes out in Q3 this year.
