PREVIEW

We greeted Sony Ericsson’s original Bluetooth watches with a nod of recognition – it’s clearly on the same wavelength as us. And now the mobile master has returned to claim our wrists and talk to our mobiles all over again with three new versions called the MBW-150.

The Music, Executive and Classic editions all have exactly the same features, but have different design twists. The Executive has an all-metal silver stainless bracelet, while the demure classic opts for a leather strap and plain watch face. The music, meanwhile, goes for a rubber strap and silver face.

But what Bluetooth magic can it perform? Like its predecessor, it can display caller IDs when your phone rings, and you can reject or mute calls via the watch.

There are also now dedicated buttons for controlling music playback so you can pause and skip tracks. A discreet vibrate alerts also gives you the shivers whenever a call or text comes in.

In fact, combine it with a Bluetooth headset will call answering and voice dialling and you need never take your phone out of your pocket again. Now that’s progress.
