E3 2009: Video – Xbox 360's Project Natal

I'm heading to an exclusive Microsoft event tonight to have a first play with the newly unveiled Project Natal, where I'll be doing the Stuff.tv hands–on video thing.

In the meantime, here's the official clip from Microsoft. Take a look and tell us what you think down below in the comments section. My tuppence worth, it looks like Nintendo have some thinking to do.

thats surreal... They'll have to reshoot all the star trek movies for being too outdated

Wow I hope its as good as it looks. It makes the wiimote look stupid. I'm going to get it.

Hmm. I'll be interested to see if it actually works in the kind of low light conditions shown in the advert.

Microsoft have a history of having good tech demos, and when (years later) it actually ships it is a massive let down.

Demo looks cool, but if it uses your actual body for input, the red ring of death could be very scary!!

Lol. I wonder if it will only be suitable for a specific range of body sizes and will there be a special disabled add-on pack? I know that sounds bad taste but its a valid point.

Is it Natal as in South Africa, or Natal as in birth?

Also, does anyone else not feel creeped out by the fact that this was Isreali military technology? I've got visions of Aliens style sentry guns mounted on top of the wall...
