The wireless networking standard. Devices equipped with Wi-Fi (or 802.11x, where x represents a variety of letters) can communicate and share data over 2.4GHz radio waves. Wi-Fi hotspots allow Wi-Fi devices like the Sony PS3 (above) to connect to the internet, and home wireless networks use Wi-Fi.
