Opera to "reinvent the Web" on 16 June

While it's certainly made a serious impression on mobile web browsers, it's fair to say Opera is still playing catch up with the big boys like Internet Explorer and Firefox when it comes to full web browsers.

However, it seems the company may be making a step to change that, with a new holding page on its website spotted by Pocket Lint, suggesting it will "reinvent the Web" on 16 June.

The public beta of version 10 of its browser has just gone live, so there is a strong possibility it could be the launch of that. However "reinventing the web" sounds pretty strong to say the least.

Opera's CEO has been quite open that the company has more up its sleeve, so it'll be interesting what it will unveil on the 16th.

We'll keep you updated – whatever it is will be announced at 9am CEDT, or 8am UK time.
