The iPod Touch has been ruling the touch-screen media player roost for quite a while now - but that could be about to change as Sony unveils its new X series Walkman.Even Apple fans are going to be drooling over this one with its incredibly thin design. It'll match the Touch in storage, with 16GB and 32GB versions, but goes one better with its AMOLED display. While it's slightly smaller at 3in, it's incredibly crisp and bright and fantastic for watching videos on. Also Sony reckons the smaller screen makes it better for using one handed. It also packs in WiFi with a YouTube app, podcast downloading and an FM tuner. Those features coupled with sound quality that Sony reckons far surpasses anything in its class (yes iPod Touch, we're looking at you) all mean that as long as Sony nail the touch-screen software they'll be on to a winner. You can catch a hands–on with it later in our dedicated CES blog, as well as getting the full skinny in the new issue of Stuff magazine, out now.
