The 80GB version of the Sony PS3 is out now and going for £299.99 at amazon.co.uk, with the 40GB unit at £284.99. An extra 40GB for 15 quid seems like a good deal to us.If already have the 40GB flavour but crave some extra storage, have a goosey at our How to pimp your PS3 video and let Tom Wiggins show you how to slot in a bigger hard disk. Failing that, you could always hook it up to a slinky external hard disk like the LG XD1 .Whatever version you're rocking, you'll soon be needing a bit more room on your PS3, what with all the TV you'll be recording when you get your hands on PlayTV next month. Check out our hands on video review and unboxing.

Has anyone spotted a really good drop in price yet on the Sony PS3 40GB? As I fancy grabbing one of them and putting a 320GB or a 500GB drive into the PS3 so I can store all of my music and other thing directly onto the Hard drive.
John Lewis have one for £259 but they are out of stock.
