Mobile World Congress 2026: all the news from the huge phone show

Once again the tech world is descending on Barcelona for the global showcase of phone tech that is Mobile World Congress

It’s definitely phone release season – as evidenced by Samsung’s reveal of the Galaxy S26 series this last week and the launch of the Apple iPhone 17e this week.

But aside from the ‘big two’, there are a lot more of the best smartphone brands competing for eyeballs and the place to be for a lot of them is Barcelona’s Mobile World Congress (aka MWC 2026) which is going on in Barcelona this week. As always at the show, plenty of phones, tablets and wearables break cover.

I’m in attendance at the show as is Stuff’s Deputy Editor, Tom Morgan-Freelander and we’ll be bringing you all the latest from the show floor.

The focus at this event is typically on smartphones and other mobile tech but in recent years, we’ve seen more announcements in different areas such as laptops and smart home.

MWC is always a bit of a weird hybrid of a show since, not only are there a bunch of product announcements, but it’s also where the mobile industry goes to do business.

That means there is quite a lot of tedious news, too! But that’s where we come in, to cut through the noise and bring you the really great launches, which is what we’ve done on this very page.

In recent years, we have also seen some great concepts at the show, such as Motorola’s rollable phone and, once again, I’m expecting plenty of those this time around, too.
