PREVIEW

When we first got wind of a Facebook phone being made by mobile network 3 and their parent company Hutchison Whampoa (best company name ever), the cynics at Stuff were thinking it'd just be another gimmick to get us wasting time on everyone's favourite social network.

As it turns out, it's so much more. 3 has taken their winning Skypephone S2 and taken it to a whole new level. There's full integration with Facebook, Skype and Windows Live messenger, meaning you can access all your contacts from your address books, check out their status and see new pics.

The fun doesn't stop there. You can get Facebook updates "pushed" straight to your   phone's home page too, so you never need to head online and check out your Facey–B status on a proper site again.

The neat carousel menu system is easy to navigate and will pop up rather like a Mac dock using a switch on the side. This allows you to hot swap applications without returning to the home screen.

Then there's the rather neat 3.2MP camera round the back, which link straight to Facebook, letting you upload snaps at the press of a button. Undoubtedly, this will replace the excellent Skypephone and is definitely worth grabbing. Especially as you can get it for nothing on a £15 contract.
