Dyson has added a new vacuum cleaner to its range that’s so small, it’ll sit on a sheet of A4 paper.

Never been one to shy away from design challenges, the Dyson City DC26 is made up of 275 parts all pulled together with size and weight in mind.

If the name didn’t give it away, it’s aimed at city dwellers or those with limited space and apparently weighs less than some laptops so you’ll be able to whizz it around your humble abode with no worries.

Also, in what sounds like a pretty awesome job, Dyson’s test team reported that the pint-sized vacuum withstood 5,138 drops on a hard floor and 10,000 pummels against a metal wall. Hardy stuff.

It’s taken the folks at Dyson five years to create this little beauty, which measures up as a third smaller than its predecessor, so expect suction not to have suffered in its mini-fication.

The Dyson City DC26 will go on sale for a not-so-mini £249.99.
