T-Mobile launches HTC Hero as G1 Touch

Following the unveiling of the HTC Hero earlier today, T-Mobile has announced it too will be snapping up the handset, but rebadging it under its own G

The G1 Touch will be available in black, and will come packing the exact same spec as the Hero.

This means you can expect a 3.2-inch anti-fingerprint touchscreen, 5 megapixel camera, AGPS, digital compass and a 3.5mm jack.

You’ll also get the same live phonebook with updates from friends’ Facebook account next to their recent text messages, and live photo gallery updates with your friends’ pictures.

The G1 Touch will be available on T-Mobile’s Flext tariff from £40 a month, which will give users £225 to spend on UK and international calls and texts, picture messages, 08 numbers and voicemail, as well as serving up unlimited internet as well.

Whatever its name, check out our hands on video with the G1 Touch/Hero and be sure to have a look at our unboxing photos and first impressions.
