The 8800 Sirocco has been eclipsed. The luxury Nokia phone of the moment is now officially the 8600 Luna.Landing just as we predicted, the homage to style is, frankly, more delicious than we could have anticipated.Borrowing much from its premium predecessor it has a similar slide action with a smoked glass keypad cover. The back is iPod-esque stainless steel, ripe for surreptitious polishing. The innards are the usual story of mid-range averageness in a luxury wrapper but still scrape to a 2MP camera, FM radio and 1GB memory for a spot of Dark Side of the Moon on the built-in MP3 player. And if that wasn’t exclusive enough, you can only buy it from the Carphone Warehouse. Sorry Bob’s Backstreet Mobiles, you’ll have to wait a month or two before you’ll be able to flog this astrological little wonder.
