Epson EMP-TWD1 review
The Epson EMP-TWD1 packs a slot-loading DVD drive, Epson lens and JVC sound system
This Marmite-like, opinion-splitting box is huge but it does pack in a lot: a slot-loading DVD drive, Epson lens and JVC sound system. Plus it has one of the easiest screen adjustment controls around.
The Epson’s speakers trounce the Optoma DV-10’s but a chicken-wire effect decreases image quality. It scores highly for dummy-friendly points: buttons are logically arranged, the rear has a DVD read-out and there’s a headphone socket for private viewing. Noise and throw – the distance needed to create a big picture (in this case that’s 75in from two metres) – are on a par with the DV-10.
