Rock has pinned a new medal on the chest of its notebook team by offering a free month of The Cloud’s Wi-Fi access with every model, so long as you buy it before October 14th.
Inside each laptop’s box, you’ll find a voucher that’ll give you 30 days of unlimited web surfing, provided you’re in one of The Cloud’s 7,000 UK hotspots.
That doesn’t mean a huge financial saving – the access normally retails for £12 per month – but it’s a nice extra touch for anyone who wants to test-drive the delights of web surfing in cafes.
If you’re after a super-powerful number that’ll run Quake II with barely a flinch, one model to add to your shopping list is its new Xtreme CTX (above). The 17in behemoth sports an Intel Core Duo T2700, which is apparently the world’s fastest mobile processor, plus a super-charged 512MB Nvidia GeForce graphics card.
It’s also has a 100GB hard drive, 1GB RAM and is well connected with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Prices start at frightening.
