We’ve just been graced with the discreet presence of Panasonic’s new mini projector, which it claims is the smallest and lightest LCD projector in the world.
The PT-P1SD is roughly the size of a book (230x190mm), and at only 1.3kgs can legitimately claim to be the hobbit of all LCD projectors.
It’ll let you whack monster-sized images onto a screen using the built-in SD card slot for your own digital photos and movies, and handily switches on automatically when you insert the card.
The P1SD promises to offer clear and bright images even on big screens, and has a handy slide show function that lets you cruise between images using different effects, like wipe, fade and checker.
It’s small enough to shove in your bag and take to your mates’ pad or office, so you could play games, watch films and even give power point presentations on the little fella.
If you like watching films in the daytime then you won’t get P1SD-off with the Panasonic, as it can sense ambient lighting conditions and adjusts colours accordingly, hopefully making viewing easy in any brightness.
It also has anti-theft password control lock and a remote control card. There’s no confirmed release date yet for the PT-P1SD, but it will retail at £680 and should be arrive in Q2.
