Power for days: Microsoft Lumia 950 XL will land with a hefty removable battery
Road warriors and reddit addicts rejoice
Microsoft’s long overdue flagships, the Lumia 950 and 950 XL, are set to be officially unveiled tomorrow. But, as usual, that hasn’t stopped the rumour mill from churning out some new info.
The latest leak, courtesy of @stagueve (who has a decent track record) shows off the naked, cover-less rear of the 950 XL, revealing a hefty 3340mAh battery within.
The battery itself appears to be removable too, which, alongside what appears to be a microSD slot, places the handset alongside the LG G4 in terms of stamina and memory flexibility.
Gadgeteers who’ve been put off by the likes of Samsung after it pulled both removable batteries and expandable memory from its flagships, might therefore be tempted by Microsoft’s finest.
Windows 10, of course, is the real deal maker/breaker, so we’re looking forward to seeing what goodies Microsoft has in store for us at its launch tomorrow. We’ll be covering all the action live, so stay tuned.
