YouTube app update for Google TV announced

YouTube just got faster and easier to use – bravo Google TV

The YouTube app for Google TV getting an update might not be the most glamorous announcement, but it certainly is useful. The latest update from the Android Market sees a faster app with a better search experience.

Apart from working faster the app also uses Discover, a feature that lets you browse YouTube channels by category. You can also subscribe to channels – of which there are many new – with a single click. Then, while watching you can use the up or down arrows for info and ratings, and once the video ends it’s the same action to select related or more videos from the same user. Now, Google, is it time to announce your very own Google TV hardware? Yes please.
