Bing Events launches

With over 90,000 events stored in one place, Bing is becoming the place to find your place to go out

Bing is up against it with the mega-mighty Google as its main rival, which is why it’s sticking to cool ideas. The latest search feature, launched today, lets you search for an event, be it gig, play, festival or whatever, with one click.

The boys and girls at Microsoft have been busy compiling over 90,000 events in over 10,000 venues, so when you type Bombay Bicycle Club, for example, you’ll be shown dates and venues instantly. If you’ve got Songkick on your phone already you’ll know why this is great. If you haven’t, then you can visit bing.com and give it a go yourself.
