iPhone developer activates hidden panorama function in Camera app
There's a hidden panorama function in the iOS Camera app – but you'll need to jailbreak your iPhone
There are plenty of panorama creation apps in the iTunes store – like Photosynth and 360 Panorama. But despite adding some new camera functions in iOS 5, Apple hasn’t included a panorama function in its official Camera app.
Or has it?
iPhone developer chpwn has released a tweak called Firebreak that switches on a hidden panorama feature in the iOS 5 Camera app.
If you’ve got a jailbroken iPhone 4 or 4S, Firebreak’s available for free under the BigBoss repository on Cydia.
Search for Firebreak then download and install it – and as if by magic, you’ll be able to snap panoramic shots in the iPhone’s iOS 5 Camera app.
