My favourite ever low-profile gaming keyboard is half off for Black Friday
Logitech has axed prices across its entire gaming gear line-up
It might not be all-in on RGB lighting like a lot of brands, but that doesn’t mean Logitech doesn’t know a thing or two about gaming gear. The go-to name for lots of esports pros has been championing low-latency wireless for years, and some of its biggest hits have seen prices slashed for the Black Friday shopping season. That includes one of my all-time favourite gaming keyboards, the low-profile G915 TKl.

- Logitech PRO X Lightspeed headset, save $101 – was $230, now $129 from Amazon
- Logitech G29 racing wheel, save $100 – was $300, now $200 from Amazon
UK
- Logitech G915 TKL keyboard, save £110 – was £220, now £110 from Amazon
- Logitech G PRO X Superlight 2 mouse, save £31 – was £149, now £118 from Amazon
- Logitech PRO X Lightspeed headset, save £110 – was £220, now £110 from Amazon
- Logitech G29 racing wheel, save £50 – was £229, now £179 from Amazon
For me the G915 TKL ticks so many boxes. It’s a mechanical ‘board, with slimline switches that sit far flatter than traditional keyboards. If you work on a laptop but game on a desktop, this is about as smooth a transition as you can get. It feels every bit as high-end as you’d expect given the retail price, with a sturdy aluminium top plate and a chunky volume rocker that’s oh-so-satisfying to spin.
It’s wireless, with a low latency connection and a battery that should last over 30 hours between charges. And naturally the whole thing is RGB illuminated.
Logitech G915 TKL | was £220 | now £110 | save £110 at Amazon
Low-profile gaming keyboards are few and far between – something I chalk largely up to Logitech absolutely nailing the formula with the G915. This TKL variant loses the numerical keypad and extra macro keys to keep its dimensions in check, but keeps the multimedia shortcuts and sturdy aluminium top plate.
The original G915 has been doing the rounds for several years, and Logitech only recently released a second generation version with some pretty major under-the-hood changes. That doesn’t mean the OG isn’t still worth your attention, though, especially when there’s a huge 50% discount during the Black Friday sales season.
You can grab one for $130/£110, which is as low as I’ve seen it sold for on either side of the Atlantic.
If you’re all about featherweight peripherals, you should also check out the Pro X Superlight mouse. It uses Logitech’s renowned Hero 25K optical sensor, which can be cranked all the way up to 25,600 DPI for twitch shooting of the highest order. The rodent has five programmable buttons, works with the included Lightspeed wireless dongle as well as over a wired USB connection, and is compatible with the firm’s Powerplay wireless charging mousemat. The built-in battery is good for up to 70 hours of constant play, but tips the scales at a scant 63g.
It’s the best pick of Logitech’s mouse line-up for US Black Friday shoppers, as the price has been practically halved to $82, down from $160. UK customers haven’t seen quite as big a discount, so I recommend they check out the second generation Superlight 2 instead: it’s even lighter at just 60g, yet adds 8k polling for even faster reaction times. Usually it’d cost you £150, but right now it can be had for just $118.
On the audio side, the Pro X headset remains one of Logitech’s top picks. It uses the same Lightspeed wireless tech as the firm’s other gear for zero-latency listening, and 50-mm dynamic drivers to deliver powerful sound. The built-in boom mic has Blue Voice filtering tech to cut down on background chatter, and the battery should be good for 20 hours of play between top-ups.
I’m a big fan of the aviator-style design, and the leatherette ear cups are comfy enough for marathon gaming sessions.
Finally, sim racers in need of a new wheel for their rig should head for the Logitech G29. It’s aimed at PlayStation console owners but plays nicely with PC sim racing setups as well. You get a force feedback steering wheel with paddle shifters, adjustable floor pedals and a 900-degree lock-to-lock rotation for a convincing driving experience.
Sim racing can get seriously expensive – just look at Logitech’s own Pro line-up of wheels, pedals and shifters – but the G29 is an excellent introduction to the hobby.
