Bluetti AC60: the power to charge wherever you are
For portable power that scales with your needs, look no further than the Bluetti AC60

When you’re looking for a portable power station, the ‘power’ bit is often more important than it being portable. Thanks to the Bluetti AC60, a compact and rugged power pack which is now available in the UK, you can have both.
Bluetti is a market leader in the clean energy storage industry, and its power packs – already on sale in the US, Canada and Japan – are ideal for those times you want to get away from it all… but still need to charge up your phone, laptop or camera. The AC60 has an internal capacity of 403Wh, which can be extended to 2,015Wh using B80 expansion packs – they hold 806Wh each, and you can add two. The AC60 also benefits from turbo charging that can see its native capacity filled in an hour from an AC socket.
You don’t have to charge it from the wall, however – it can accept power via four charging methods. The AC60 is compatible with solar panels, such as Bluetti’s own PV200 and a wide range of others. There’s a 600W inverter for dealing with solar input, and you can also feed it energy via your car or a generator.
Charge of the quiet brigade
When it comes to getting that power out again, there are seven different outlets for passing the energy along to your devices – you get three-pin AC sockets as well as USB ports and a 12V car lighter socket. It offers 100W via USB, enough to quick-charge a laptop, as well as up to 100W via the AC outlets, enabling it to run a fridge or kettle, and a wireless charging pad on top. It’s quiet too, generating just 45dB in its silent charging mode, making it ideal for use in a tent or other enclosed space.
The Bluetti AC60 weighs just 9.1kg and is the size of a shoebox, with a fold-down handle to increase its portability. It fills a gap in the market Bluetti noticed between small power packs that are easy to carry but don’t hold much power, and enormous power stations that can keep going all week, but require a team of horses to move. You can take the AC60 with you when you exit your camp, leaving the B80 expansion packs behind for when you get back. The extra batteries have USB and car outlet outputs themselves, so can be used as standalone chargers by anyone you leave in the tent, and can be charged independently. They’re also compatible with other Bluetti power stations, so you’re not tied to your AC60 if you want to upgrade.
Built to last
Built from aluminium and with LiFePO4 cells inside for a lifespan of at least ten years and more than 3,000 charging cycles, the AC60 is made to last. There’s IP65 ingress protection too, which means it should be able to stand up to getting dusty on the road, or being caught in a shower of rain. And inside, Bluetti’s engineers have ensured that it’s a tough little power pack, by making sure important circuits are isolated from the fan vents, meaning if dust or water is drawn inside the unit by the cooling system, it won’t have a detrimental effect on the electronics.
There’s an advanced battery management system on-board the AC60, preventing over-voltage, short-circuits and overheating, as well as automatically shutting off if nothing is drawing current. You can also manage the system via the Bluetti app, fine-tuning the current of the DC and AC outputs to avoid energy loss.
The Bluetti AC60 and the B80 expansion packs are available in the UK from June 27, with a six-year warranty for extra peace of mind.
