Denon’s new true wireless earbuds are my top choice for budget conscious buyers

Audio specialist Denon has announced two new additions to its true wireless lineup: the AH-C500W and AH-C840NCW. Designed to blend comfort, battery life and brilliant sound, both models are aiming for a spot in Stuff’s best true wireless earbud buying guide.

First and foremost, Denon’s latest wireless earbuds come packed with the brand’s signature audio fidelity, and whether you’re hopping between meetings, or tuning into a podcast on the train, these earbuds are built for life on the move.

The AH-C500W is the more affordable of the two, featuring an open-ear design ideal for all-day wear. Inside are Denon’s high-performance 12mm FreeEdge drivers, engineered for rich, immersive audio. These buds are IPX4 water resistant, making them great for workouts and rainy-day walks.

You’ll get up to 24 hours of battery life, multipoint connectivity to switch between devices on the fly, and handy wireless charging. A quick 10-minute top-up gives an extra hour of playback – perfect for last-minute dashes.

All pretty impressive for a pair of wireless buds that cost less than $100 / £100.

If you’re after more peace and quiet, the AH-C840NCW is the premium option, boasting adaptive hybrid active noise cancellation and a transparency mode for when you need to stay aware of your surroundings.

They also feature Denon’s signature 12mm drivers and multipoint support, plus three sizes of soft silicone ear tips for a snug, personalised fit. With up to 35 hours of total battery life, they’re ready to power through long listening sessions.

Both models support Bluetooth LE Audio for better power efficiency and audio quality and are Bluetooth Auracast ready, which means they’re future-proofed for the next generation of audio sharing and broadcasting.

The AH-C500W and AH-C840NCW will be available from 15th April via Denon’s website and authorised retailers. Pricing is set at $99 / £99 for the AH-C500W and $159 / £159 for the AH-C840NCW.
