Xiaomi Smart Band 7 Pro is style- and fitness-focused
Waterproof wonder can track over 110 sports
The latest entry to Xiaomi’s line of wallet-friendly wearables has upped its navigation game with built-in GNSS, promising better tracking and faster position locking so you aren’t stuck waiting around before heading out on a run. The Xiaomi Smart Band 7 Pro also promises up to twelve days of battery life – not too shabby for a sub-£100 fitness tracker.
The 1.64in rectangular AMOLED display is a whopping 84% larger than the one found in last year’s Smart Band 6, with a 486×280 resolution to squeeze more info onto each watch face so you don’t have to swipe as much during exercise. There are now 150 to choose from, with complications and customisations to give your band a bespoke look.
Auto-adjusting brightness should keep things clear in direct sunlight, and the whole thing is covered in tempered glass, so it should withstand the rigors of daily wear. It’s 5ATM water resistant, too, so you’ll be able to wear it while swimming – not just while you’re getting sweaty in the gym (or drenched by rain showers while out on a run).
Beyond the usual step counting, sleep tracking, heart rate monitoring and all-day SpO2, the Band 7 Pro also promises on-wrist running courses set through the Mi Fitness app. It’ll play nicely with both iOS and Android smartphones.
The Band itself can be had in Black and Ivory colours, with eight different straps to choose from: six silicone straps (in Black, Blue, Ivory, Olive, Orange and Pink) and two special edition ones (in Pine Green and Moon Gray).
Fitness fanatics will be able to pick up a Xiaomi Smart Band 7 Pro from today onwards. Expect to pay £85 in the UK, or £75 if you put an order in before the 6th of October.
