8GB iPhone 3GS to phase out 3G model?

Putting aside all the Apple tablet rumours to one side for a minute, there's a new iPhone rumour on the block which is reckoning we may well have an 8

Boy Genius Report has got its hands on some info from Canadian wireless provider Rogers that suggests it is gearing up to ship an 8GB 3GS, and phase out the 8GB 3G handset.

The news was uncovered from screenshots of an internal memo, and it all looks pretty legit – and BGR is saying its had a “number” of unconfirmed tips suggesting the same thing, which certainly give the whispers some weight behind them.
