Remember that rather sleek looking Archos 2 we brought you word of a few weeks back? Well, the French PMP types have just gone official with their iPod nano–baiter, starting at a credit crunch–friendly £39.99.
It rocks a 1.8in screen alongside, MP3 and WMA support, space for an SD card and AVI video playback. Although that’s really only for those whose eyes are up to the task of squinting a lot.
Battery life clocks in at 4 hours for video and 10 hours for tunes. But it’s the price that’s really got us going. At a penny shy of forty quid for the 8GB model, and in black, white or purple, we think it’s a winner.
The 16GB edition has yet to be priced up, but is expected to clock in at £60. Sadly there’s no word on the much–hyped Archos 4 or the imminent IMT Android tablet.
