Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag to be Xbox One and PS4 launch title

Ubisoft confirms that its pirate-centric game will be available from day one for both next-gen consoles

Shiver me next-gen consoles! Ubisoft has announced that Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag will be a launch title for both the Sony PS4 and Microsoft Xbox One.

The piracy-themed game has already been announced as coming to the PS3, Xbox 360, PC and Wii U. But this additional confirmation should be welcome news to those planning on shelling out for a next-gen console come the winter. For one thing, it means that at least one triple-A title will be available to play at launch – something that hasn’t always been the case with new consoles.

29th October on current consoles

The game hits current generation consoles on 29th October, and the PC “a few weeks” after.
