A story from niche netbook news site Netbooknews.de suggests the first Asus EeePC with Intel’s open source OS, Moblin, will launch in October.

The story says Asus is also considering adding Moblin as an option for all Asus EeePcs at some point.

Meanwhile Operating System Renaissance (it’s a good day for seriously specific blogs) says Asus is in a loving embrace with Google racing to get the Google Chrome OS onto EeePcs.
