Remember school? Yup? Fondly? Nah, thought not. But what if you’d done all your learning in 3D?
Acer is touting a 3D projector aimed at the classroom. Instead of blankly staring at the word “diplodocus” scrawled illegibly on a blackboard, kids will be watching Jurassic Park in 3D.
But we see uses for the S5200 outside the classroom, too. Let’s say you’re curiously excited by the notion of home 3D, but not furiously excited. And let’s also say that you’ve got £650 and a spare wall knocking around. Do you see where we’re going with this?
Acer’s DLP number might just fill that gap. Okay, so it won’t do HD, though 1600×1200 UXGA resolution is usable, and it has HDMI and a remote control so it should be a doddle to integrate into your current set-up for occasional 3D parties.
Imagine hooking up your newly updated 3D PS3 and having your mates over for a Motorstorm 3D marathon. Carnage… in a good way.
Until we find the secret to eternal youth and get to retake school in 3D, that’s what we’re thinking.
