BlackBerry Bold 9900 and 9930 launch soon

The latest and slimmest Bold handsets from BlackBerry are to be released with speedy new BlackBerry 7 OS, this month

The BlackBerry Bold 9900 and 9930 are coming out later this month with BlackBerry 7 OS inside. Both embrace the wonderful world of media as BlackBerry becomes more than just a business-battling work phone. That means getting internet friendly – with an HTML 5 browser that’s 40% faster than the previous OS had to offer. That’s not hard, you might say, but how about a 10.3mm-thin body, fancy new Liquid Graphics technology and touchscreen (as well as keyboard)?

They’ve even crammed in NFC to make these future-proof. Both have 8GB on board (expandable to 40GB with microSD), 720p video and 5MP pics, with an impressive 287ppi screen, so what’s the difference between them? Not much – the 9900 has tri-band and the 9930 doesn’t. Watch this space for pricing and an exact launch date.

BlackBerry also announced three new Torch models.
