You’d think there’d be a fanfare or a drumroll at the very least, but BT Vision seems to have sneaked out some HD content while no one was watching.

In the quietest launch since, well, BT Vision itself, the company has struck a deal with NBC Universal to bring us HD movies on demand, starting at just £2.95.

You can marvel at the likes of Gladiator, Shaun of the Dead, The Hulk and er, Love Actually in 1080i complete with Dolby 5.1 surround sound. Just go to Browse Vision Film and you’ll find a brand-new HD section.

You can then gorge on hi-def loveliness downloaded straight to your V-Box for as much as you want during the 48-hr rental period. Just keep it under your hat, right?
