Three days down and the world’s biggest gadget expo is still going strong. We’ve picked out our highlights from all of Wednesday’s tech-related revelations.
3D printing goodies galore from MakerBot
MakerBot unveiled three new 3D printers – including the Replicator Mini, the company’s cheapest and most compact to date – alongside a bumper crop of new software. As well as remote control and 3D print design-browsing apps for both desktop and mobile, there’s a new tablet app for designing your own 3D models and a new store for purchasing officially-sanctioned designs.
Onewheel: where Segway meets skateboard
Without doubt the coolest personal transport gadget we’ve spied at CES 2014, the Onewheel is a motorised skateboard with – you’ve guessed it – one wheel. It auto-balances and moves much like a Segway – but with none of the inherent dorkiness.
LG keeps the OLED flame burning with giant flexible TV
OLED TVs have moved out of the spotlight somewhat, but LG has delivered what may be CES’s most impressive: a 77in 4K screen that can bend at will. Amazing stuff.

The Socialmatic from Polaroid is like the Instagram app made flesh (or… plastic): a square 14MP snapper that supports filters and can then print your shot out right there and then with its built-in ZINK printer.

Will smartphones become modular in the future, allowing you to swap out individual components to upgrade rather than buying a whole new handset? That’s the possibility laid out by ZTE’s Eco-Mobius – and we’re more than willing to dream with them.
