CES 2011 – Asus Eee Slate and 3 Eee Pads revealed
Asus reveals 3 Android Honeycomb tablets and a Windows 7 tablet at CES 2011
Asus Eee Pad MeMO
The MeMO is one of the three Asus tablets busting Android Honeycomb. It’s the baby with a 7-inch IPS multi-touch screen, has a Snapdragon processor and can manage 1080p hi-def playback. Price range is $500-700.
Asus Eee Slate EP121
Apparently this is the world’s most powerful tablet. For now. It’s got a 12.1-inch, 1280×800 IPS screen, a Core i5 4700m processor, 64GB solid-state drive, 4GB RAM and an HDMI output. It comes with a Wacom digitiser pen for some handwriting recognition – looked slick in demos. Will be pricey at $1000-1100 and looks too massive for our dainty hands.

Asus Eee Pad Transformer
This is a hybrid laptop/tablet, with a 10.1-inch Android Honeycomb tablet detachable from the keyboard. There are twin cameras, an Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor and the battery life is 16 hours. Reasonably priced at $400-700.

Asus Eee Pad Slider
Possibly our favourite, the Eee Pad Slider is another hybrid tablet/laptop, this time with a keyboard that slides out from the back. Looks swish, weighs just 886g and is 16.7mm thick. It’s powered along by an Nvidia Tegra 2 processor and has Android Honeycomb plastered across its 10.1-inch screen. Like the other two Eee Pads, Honeycomb has been skinned with Asus’ Waveface UI. Price will be $500-800.
