Creative i50 gives the speaker a Shuffle

What’s this? A new USB memory stick? No, hold on a minute. That’s not a USB connector riding atop a bank of flash memory, it’s Apple’s Shuffle buddied-up to its own speaker. And what’s that we see, a Creative logo? My, my, things have changed since those two fell out.Yep, since Creative agreed to start making iPod accessories as part of the settlement from that little corporate spat, the Zen maker has been rattling through its consignment of ‘made for iPod’ stickers at a rate of knots.Latest to roll out the factory door is this dinky portable speaker for the Shuffle – only fair since Creative had already come up with some natty stereo cones for its own miniature player, the Zen Stone. The TravelSound i50 gets a respectable 15-hour battery life from its built-in battery and pumps out a mini 1.4W in total from its stereo speakers. It’ll be out in Japan first but should be on its way here soon after. Our Shuffle is shining its bum in readiness.EssentialsCreative TravelSound i50Price: £TBA (8000 Yen in Japan)On sale: TBA (September in Japan) Contact: CreativeRelated stories:Logic3 launches i-Station Traveller for iPhoneiPod Boom Box goes back to the ’80sCreative Stone + screen = Stone Plus
