Crumbs! It’s a heated butter knife

This is the world’s first heated butter knife, made by Warburtons to tackle tough fridge-hard butter

Like a hot knife though butter, it is. That’s because Warburtons’ Toastie Knife is a a heated butter knife to make spreading butter from the fridge as easy as putting a hot knife through… oh, you get the picture.

The knife heats up in thirty seconds to 41.8 degrees Celsuius which – according to toast experts (these apparently exist) – is the ideal heat for spreading butter. Tips on how to spread, including bread choice, are in the video below. The knife is just a prototype for now but if it’s popular and goes on sale we reckon it’ll be the best thing since sliced bread. With butter, obviously.
