Deal of the Week: LG’s 55in 4K TV drops to £1,500

Praise the entertainment gods: you can now get a large 4K 3D telly without auctioning off a kidney

LG has announced that, from this weekend, it’s chopping £500 off the price of its 55LA695W 4K television. That means it’s available for £1,500.

While that’s still a sizeable wedge by any stretch of the imagination, for a 55in 4K (and 3D) television it comes across as distinctly reasonable.

A free tablet to boot

The deal will be available at Currys and comes with a five-year guarantee and, until 12th June, you can also get a free LG G Pad 8.3 Android tablet chucked in (it needs to be claimed on LG’s website).

It’s only fair to note, however, that Currys already sells a 55in 4K TV at this price: the Samsung 55HU6900 – although that isn’t 3D capable and it won’t come with a free tablet.
